How I Determined My Interior Design Style?

I’ve been asked this question a few times when I’ve met people and I tell them I’m an interior designer, and usually I’ve never had, what I feel anyway, an appropriate and simple way of best describing what my style is (as I’m not going to spiel out “I bring hospitality interiors to life” 🤓, because even though that’s the case, that’s more of a ‘marketing slogan’ (an “emotional 1 liner” if you will 👍🏻) for the business and I don’t want to sound ‘too markety’ when I’m talking to someone. Yes, ‘markety’, not proper English, but 🤷🏻‍♂️ .

I’ve realised recently though that there is already a term out there that I can adapt to best describe what my style is (as I don’t consider myself to have a ‘particular style’), but it exists in a complete different industry to interior design. This term lives in the world of acting, and is used to describe actors (and actresses 👊🏻) who commit themselves totally to their craft and more specifically are able to absorb and evolve into the immediate role they’re playing. This term is called Method Acting. You’ll probably already know the term, and now you understand my reasoning for what term I’m going to start using when people ask me from now on “what’s your style?”, I’ll be able to say back to them, I combine Method Design with Neuro Design.
